What’s the purpose of a white color pencil?

I know that a white color pencil could be used fine on black paper, but what are some of the good techniques that one could use the white for with other colors for drawings like landscapes, portraits, etc..? Tyvm!

It can be for highlights, doing think such as the whiteness in someones eye, and adding them to other colors to create a different, and lighter color.

Be warned though, white is not always the best tool to use highlights with. An example would be if you we’re doing highlights in brown hair. You would must likely use blonds, and possibly reds to do highlights, not white. Unless they have gray hair

You can use it for a variety of ways, just experiment, and see what works! Have fun drawing :p
