My adult american Tabby cat has a runny nose and sneezing after a rabies booster anyone know how to help him?
I have a 3 year old American Tabby short hair cat, this past Thursday he got is yearly Rabbies booster shot. along with being micro chipped. and being dewormed now his nose is running really bad and he has been sneezing off and on for a couple days. Does anyone know if this is a side effect or a cold and how to help him? please?
It’s probably not a side effect especially if it shows up days later. Chances are that he got exposed to a cat cold at the clinic, and needs antibiotic. When he got the Rabies shot his immune system is slightly weaker for a day or two and he may be more prone to get a cold. Sounds like he has a URI(upper respiratory infection) and needs a follow-up appointment for antibiotics.
